Challenge Program
At Corinth Elementary School, we seek to meet the needs of every student, including our students who are found to have an exceptionally high degree of intelligence as documented through our identification process.
Led by Ms. Brandi Simmons and Mrs. Anna White, the Challenge Program is our answer to gifted education, an advanced program designed to provide differentiated instruction and in-depth enrichment. It is an extension of the core curriculum that enhances students’ academic growth, challenges their creativity, and extends their knowledge and understanding of the world, of people, and of themselves.
We encourage high level thinking, creative and productive thinking, development of interpersonal skills and relationships, and development of personal goals. Ultimately, our intent is to guide gifted students down the path of exploration, metacognition, and problem solving so that when they go out into the world, they have the tools they need to find the answers for themselves.
