The National Weather Service has placed Alcorn County under a Winter Storm Warning with an expectation of significant mixed precipitation, snow, and extremely low wind chills. As a result of these hazardous weather conditions, the Corinth School District will have a virtual day on Monday.

PreK-Grade 4 students received assignments on Friday to complete during this virtual day. Students in grades 5-8 will receive instructions in Canvas for the virtual day. Teachers will communicate additional information to parents.

Students will need to complete the required work for attendance purposes.

These winter conditions could exist for several days, and the Corinth Schools will closely monitor the weather and conditions before making a decision about school on Tuesday. This decision will be communicated as early as possible via social media platforms, media outlets, and voice and text messages.

Please stay safe during these extreme weather conditions.
