The National Weather Service has placed Alcorn County under a Winter Storm Warning with an expectation of significant mixed precipitation, snow, and extremely low wind chills. As a result of these hazardous weather conditions, the Corinth School District will have a virtual day on Monday.
PreK-Grade 4 students received assignments on Friday to complete during this virtual day. Students in grades 5-8 will receive instructions in Canvas for the virtual day. Teachers will communicate additional information to parents.
Students will need to complete the required work for attendance purposes.
The Corinth Academy of Learning Summer Program will begin on Monday June 29th. The program will run for three weeks, concluding July 17th. The Corinth Academy of Learning Summer Program will be an online program with daily interactions with classroom teachers.
The Academy will take place at each school level, CES, CMS and CHS. Letters have been mailed to students who are strongly recommended to enroll in the Academy, however these programs are available to every student! CHS students who received letters will be automatically be enrolled in Canvas courses.
Instructional content will be provided on the Corinth School District’s YouTube page, iReady online learning program, Canvas and Zoom. Each day, a teacher will teach a lesson and direct lessons associated with a variety of educational resources. In addition to daily lessons, teachers will also provide opportunities for virtual field trips, experiments and Zoom times to discuss questions that your child may have.
Completion of the Academy of Learning Summer Program and Camp will help prepare your child for a successful 2020-2021 school year. Incentives will be offered to students successfully completing the Corinth Academy of Learning Summer program.
