On April 5, the Corinth School District hosted “Spring into STEM” Saturday camp. Over 115 students registered to attend the Saturday camp that helps students learn how STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) connects to the world around us through fun, hands-on experiments and activities.
Join us for a special, family-centered STEM Saturday on May 10th! We invite students in 1st through 4th grade to join these two-hour sessions alongside their families as we participate in a STEM challenge. These sessions will be limited to 50 student participants in each session. The first session will be for our 1st/2nd grade students and will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Our second session will be for our 3rd/4th grade students and will be held from 12 to 2 p.m. Both sessions will be held at the Corinth Elementary School cafeteria. Due to the short nature of these sessions, we will not serve lunch or run buses. However, if you or a family representative are unable to attend with your child, we will have staff available to support your child during the STEM challenge. STATEMENT FROM THE CORINTH SCHOOL DISTRICT BOARD OF TRUSTEES
The Corinth School District Board of Trustees met on Monday morning, March 17, 2025,
and unanimously voted to terminate the contract of Dr. Edward Lee Childress as Superintendent
of the Corinth School District.
The District’s greatest priority is the safety and well-being of its students. The Board of
Trustees is heartbroken over the pain caused to these young victims and their families over the
incident with a former teacher at Corinth Middle School. The District is providing these families
and the families of any other affected children with appropriate counseling services for these
students.
The Board of Trustees is also working to quickly implement new policies designed to
prevent a similar incident from ever happening again.
It is the hope of the Board of Trustees that the process of healing can begin for the
affected families, the District, and the community as a whole.
One hundred and twenty seven students from the Corinth School District received prestigious awards during a ceremony this morning at the Corinth High School (CHS).
Corinth Middle School and Corinth High School each received $5,000 STEM classroom grants sponsored by the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA), Batelle Education/TSIN and ACE Power.
On Feb. 8, the Corinth School District hosted “Fall in Love with STEM” Saturday camp.
