With his recent appointment as superintendent, Dr. John Barnett is excited for the future of the Corinth School District. “I am incredibly honored and humbled to have the opportunity to serve our school district and community,” said Barnett. “I am excited to lead us forward and work with our stakeholders to provide the best educational experience possible for our students.”

On Saturday, Dec. 6, the Corinth School District hosted the “Holly Jolly” STEM Saturday camp, where over 120 registered students brought science, technology, engineering, and math to life. The vibrant, hands-on activities were specifically designed to spark imagination and curiosity in students from Pre-K through 6th grade.

Corinth High School senior Braxton Stevens has been named a semifinalist for the 2026 Coca-Cola Scholars Program, moving to the next round of the selection process to become a Coca-Cola Scholar and receive a $20,000 college scholarship. Stevens is one of 18 semifinalists in the state of Mississippi and among 1,238 semifinalists nationally. Semifinalists represent 1.1% of the over 107,000 applicants from across the country for this program.

On Saturday, Sept. 13, the Corinth School District was overrun with pirates as more than 100 students attended the "STEM Ahoy! Pirates, Parrots and STEM Saturday." The event brought science, technology, engineering, and math to life through a treasure trove of vibrant, hands-on activities designed to spark imagination and curiosity.
